Small Moments Story-Narrative

For as long as I can remember, my family has had a tradition of going to the huge blue house down by the water. It was always the best time of the summer for me. Everyone in my entire dad’s side of the family would go down to the same week. Each year we all tried to agree on something to do as a whole group. This one year, my cousins Nikki, and I came up with going to the Cape Cod Chip factory since they give tours. We all packed the cars and were so delighted to go. We pull in and can smell the chips but then we all see the immense red sigh across the door. The factory was closed! All of our emotions went from happy to sad very quickly. As we started to drive back we saw all these sandals castles outside local restaurants and other buildings. My dad pulled over and wanted to take a picture of Nikki and me. Then we started to see more and more of these very detailed sandcastles. My dad did the best thing he could to cheer us up, he decided to make a game out of these sandcastles. Every time we saw one we would abruptly pull over and run out of the car and snap a picture of Nikki and me in front of it. No matter where we were, we would jump out of the car. It made Nikki and I think we were breaking laws, by running out of the car, dashing across parking lots just for a picture.
